PEMF therapy and immunity

Our immune system is our extraordinary defence against infectious diseases and injury. It protects our bodies in various ways to ensure quick but also targeted defence.

The first line of defence is our innate or non-specific immunity. This is a more generalised reaction and includes, for example, our skin, tears, mucous in the respiratory tract, gastric acid and flushing of urine. Our innate immunity is the barrier that prevents pathogens (germs) from invading our body, but when it fails or the barriers are compromised it usually results in infection. Luckily we also have a second line of defence, our adaptive or specific immunity. This is a targeted response of our immune system to a specific antigen.

Before it gets too complex, let me explain. Antigens are foreign substances, like pathogens or allergens, able to provoke this specific response of the adaptive immune system. Our body produces antibodies to target these specific antigens. Antibodies are then capable of binding to antigens with very high specificity and neutralising them. Antibodies are also the “memory” of the immune system.
For example, when a flu virus enters the respiratory tract it is recognised as an antigen. If you have been in contact with this specific strain of virus before your body will have antibodies against the virus and start to fight the infection immediately.  If it is the first time you come in contact with this virus your body will now first have to produce antibodies before it can start to fight this specific virus. This production of antibodies takes several hours and the antibody levels are only optimal after a few days.

The good news is that if you already have antibodies against a specific pathogen your immune response will be even better when you are in contact with the pathogen a second or third time. And this is how you build immunity.

How PEMF therapy can help

How PEMF therapy boosts your immune system is not fully understood, although hundreds of case studies do show that it does help to clear infections and improve your immune system.

  • *PEMF therapy inhibits bacterial growth and improves the immune response to bacterial invasion.
  • *PEMF therapy may weaken the cellular wall of certain pathogens, making it easier for the immune system to destroy these pathogens.
  • *PEMF therapy improves cell function and cell metabolism and therefore also the function of the cells involved in immunity.
  • *PEMF therapy “injects” frequencies related to an antigen (or pathogen) into the body and thereby awakening the immune system to that specific antigen or pathogen. It, therefore, helps the body to fight against a specific infection.
  • *PEMF therapy improves detoxification of the body and therefore helps to get rid of toxins in the body, including the dead cells and pathogens the immune system killed. There is thus no build-up of toxins, weakening your immune system.

Programs to use on your device

Detox general, Antiseptic general, Flu general and General healing top 18 are always good programs to consider right through the winter. Then add specific programs when you start to experience symptoms. For example Sore throat and Coughing.

We always advise using a treatment group during the night with a treatment blanket and then adding the stickers or handhelds during the day, especially when you have an acute illness.
The MyBio Tracer is especially effective to detect the unique frequencies your body needs for healing during an acute or chronic illness and these frequencies should be added to your treatment plan every 2-6 weeks.

Supplements to use

Supplements, especially anti-oxidants are helpful before and during the winter season. This winter take Vitamin D3 and Vitamin C regularly to give your body extra support.
Vitamin D shows a great effect on both the adaptive and innate immune responses. Research suggests the Vitamin D may play an essential role in our defence against Influenza A and B, Parainfluenza 1 and 2 and RS virus. It is also known that with Vitamin D deficiency you have an increased risk for respiratory disease.

This is also true for Vitamin C, where a deficiency makes you more susceptible to severe respiratory infections. A long term study of 20 years showed that people with higher levels of Vitamin C has a lower risk of pneumonia.
Vitamin C also ensures that cold symptoms are less severe and resolve quicker. The evidence actually indicates that daily oral Vitamin C supplementation of 2g or more reduces the incidence and duration of respiratory infections.

Vitamin D and C are therefore crucial supplements for the flu season.
